This was the third year for the annual Gator Drag, taking place on April 8th & 9th 2006 at Louisiana Oil & Gas Park just north of Interstate 10 in Jennings, Louisiana. This show is the child of a show from back in the 90's called the Cajun Mini Nationals.
This year the event was bigger then ever, ringing in the start of the season for the south. The event was easily twice the size of the first Gator Drag back in 2004 and larger than any of the Cajun Mini Nationals from years past. There were cars and trucks of all makes filling the grass around the lake in the center of the park. There were vendors with everything from every part ofthe industry - Kaik, Drop 'Em Wear clothing and renderings from Fast Eddy White. With most of the rides rolling into Jennings on Friday night, the event didn't really start until 7:00am on Saturday when the gates opened for vehicle registration.
