I missed Indy the first year, but have attended every year from then on. I've seen the show change from the party at the fair grounds where we made slip and slides from the stage area, to the Import and Truck bash it has become. I love Indy! With that said though, things have changed this year, attendence was down from last year, and the parties are not what they used to be. Shows like Havoc, that is two weeks before Indy hosting legal dragging and crazy night life - proving the show doesn't matter (it's an indoor shows that sucks munkey balls). Indy needs to figure out how to get interest back from the show attendee.
ITB has done everything right for a family show, they host events, they have drag racing, they run a bikini contest they draws the hottist women who keep their bikinis on. But the wolrd has seen it before. The cops sracked down on dragging last yeat and the price ws felt this time through. The drag session was slow to form, and not what was dreamed of. The hotels were tame with their restrictions. Even hooters what not the grand adventure I had grown to love.
The show was still awesome with some of the best trucks to be seen, and I will attend next year, I never will miss ITB. But I will save some cash, and hit the Havoc show and The RA shows as well... because that is were the sickist shit is going on now. ITB is in it's fading glory... I hope and pray that someone from Family events reads this and contacts me to help save this slowly dying show.
