The west coast leg of Havoc‘07 weekend kicked off with Truckin magazine’s State 2 State cruise on Friday the 27th. Cruise started in Fullerton and ended at Lake Havasu’s London Bridge Resort. With four scheduled stops along the way, it turned out to be a busy day for the cruisers and the Primedia staff. The first and start of the cruise was at Ultra Wheels Corp. in Fullerton. The cruise staff eager to get you signed up for the havoc show and enter you in the raffle for a set of wheels, to be given away at a later time at the event. At registration you were given several goody bags with Primedia’s hottest truck magazines, posters, and stickers, as well as a packet of info and maps to the following stops. After a few hours at ultra wheels, cruisers were off the next destination, Hooters of Anaheim. Stop #2 we enter Hooters for our lunch stop, and treated to a free set of wings, truck trivia , magazine subscriptions, and of course the Hooters girls. Everyone that was sitting with us had a coupon for a set of wings; I think we were about 90 wings deep at our table, yummy. That hit the spot. Some groups caravanned from Fresno and meet up with the cruise in Anaheim. Driving All the way from Fresno and only half way to Havasu.
After a few iced teas, off to our next deal, JBM down the street in Orange. At JBM we were treated to a facility tour, small snacks, bottled water and more raffle prizes. JBM raffled off a grille, stickers and a set of black 20” RBP wheels, which were won by my Minisytle photo assistant James Pence, lucky bastard. After a short visit there, knowing how bad Friday afternoon traffic can and will be, our crew jumped in our truck and motored up the freeway. The State 2 State cruise’s last stop before Havasu was exit 175 off hwy 15 north. Primedia made this stop because of the long road along the freeway, great for caravanning photos. After a few quick pics, back on the road to Lake Havasu via hwy 40, last stop was the host hotel London Bridge Resort. Havoc show starts at 9:00 Saturday morning, cant wait for the show coverage in true Ministyle fashion the Trucks / Parties / Women.
Havoc 07 Lake Havasu was presented by Truckin , Diesel Power , 8-Lug , Minitruckin , and Sport Truck magazines. The show was layed out over the London Bridge Resort famous golf course. Havoc weekend included a show n shine , live d.j. entertainment by Mad House FX , vendor area , and bikini contest. The heat at Havoc jumped up over 106 both show days, everyone around found ways to stay as cool as possible, and find shade. The show hosted a bunch of great looking trucks from all over. Later Saturday evening, 8 LUG magazine hosted a release party for the havoc guests. 8- LUG is now going into monthly publication. After a few snacks and drinks, the Havoc party continued down stairs in the resort and a few area night clubs. Sunday the show continued on and while the show participants waited for raffle and trophies and the long ride home, the bikini contest started in the afternoon.
The contest was outrageous, 11 beautiful women on stage, and only one winner. Many lovely ladies drove out from Hooters in Anaheim for the $1000.00 contest sponsored by MBRP exhaust systems. Hannah a Hooters employee stunned the crowd and keep the judges eyes glued to her barely there outfit walking away with the cash (please see the photos).Overall it was a great time in Lake Havasu, it’s a must do again next spring. The next Havoc show is in Bowling Green, KY. August 11-12th 2007 look for east coast Ministyle coverage for that one. As for SoCal coverage here, were done. Keep your ride clean and stay safe.
